I like portraits. A painted portrait is quite different to a photograph. It is always held in higher esteem. A good portrait artist has to study the character of the sitter and with skill, just emphsise those features that capture the spirit and character of the sitter. Some photgraphers have this ability, but most who can are also painters!.
